How to print the capacity of channels in Golang?

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create two bidirectional channels and find the capacity of channels using the cap() function on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to print the capacity of channels is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to print the capacity of channels

// Golang program to print the capacity
// of channels

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
	//Create a bidirection channel with capacity 2.
	msg1 := make(chan string, 2)

	//Create a bidirection channel with capacity 3.
	msg2 := make(chan string, 3)

	fmt.Println("Capacity of msg1 is: ", cap(msg1))
	fmt.Println("Capacity of msg2 is: ", cap(msg2))
}

Output:

Capacity of msg1 is:  2
Capacity of msg2 is:  3

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package to formatting related functions.

In the main() function, we created two bidirectional channels, and then we got the capacity of channels msg1, msg2 using the cap() function and print the capacity on the console screen.
