In this program, we will get the current month name in 3 characters using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

# Ruby program to get the current month name 
# in 3 characters using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
MonthName = time.strftime("%b");

print "Current Month name is: ",MonthName;

Output:

Current Month name is: Feb

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of Time class. Then we got the current month name in 3 characters using the strftime() method with "%b" as an argument and printed the result.
