Short class shortValue() method

shortValue() method is available in java.lang package.
shortValue() method is used to return the value denoted by this Short object converted to type short (by casting).
shortValue() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
shortValue() method does not throw an exception at the time of conversion from Short to short.

Syntax

public short shortValue();

Parameters

It does not accept any parameter.

Return Value

The return type of this method is short, it returns a converted (from type Short to short) value represented by this Short object.
