AIAA: American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

AIAA is an abbreviation of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It is a most significant technical society which is based in America, devoted to the worldwide aerospace line of work and aerospace engineering.

In 1963, it was founded by the combination of two aerospace societies: the American Rocket Society (ARS) and the Institute of the Aerospace Sciences (IAS).
