Initially, the technology was known as AirTunes, but later Apple renamed it to AirPlay.

As the term "Air" suggests, AirPlay is all about the wireless transmission of media content. It can be used with various Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs, and Apple TV.

Many people wonder whether it is possible to play music stored on one device through another device without using cables. AirPlay makes this possible by allowing media to be streamed seamlessly across compatible devices. If a user wants a better audio experience, AirPlay can stream music from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac directly to wireless speakers, sound systems, or Apple TV. This eliminates the need for physical connections while maintaining high-quality playback.

A list of available AirPlay-enabled devices will appear. Select the desired device from the list. In some cases, you may be asked to enter a verification code displayed on the receiving device. Once the connection is established, the media will begin playing on the selected device.
