BSOD: Blue Screen of Death

BSOD is an abbreviation of the "Blue Screen of Death".

It is a blue screen displayed by a system as an error screen because of kernel error which signifies a system crash; occur due to the highest limit reached by a system at which it cannot for a long time function securely. Most commonly the operating system on which blue screen encountered is Microsoft windows. In case when a blue screen displays, the system stops functioning and required to be a reboot. A number of hexadecimal values may incorporate in the blue screen from a core dump of main memory, which can be used possibly to find out the cause behind the crash.

Blue Screen of Death Causes

  • It is most commonly caused by issues that came up in the user's system hardware or problems that came up in its hardware driver software.
  • It can be caused at times by problems with low-standard software functioning in the Windows kernel.
  • It can be caused by issues also related to temperature, timing, resources, fraudulent registries, scam software's or viruses.
