CCTV: Closed Circuit Television

CCTV is an abbreviation of Closed Circuit Television. It is also called as "video surveillance". In this system, there is a direct connection in the elements like video camera, display monitors, recording devices, etc. It is used to monitor a specific area that is quick to detect and requires continuous monitoring and the area where there is not much attention and seldom someone who can keep observation most of the time. Most of the activities are monitored by it and recorded by it which makes it very obliging to keep away from an offense. By identifying the presence of overcrowding and observing the damage and injury, it is also used for monitoring traffic.

CCTV to transmit the network signals or transmits to the monitor or devices of recording; it uses wired or wireless communication. It can broadcast audio and video or any one of them.
