CDDB: Compact Disc Database

CDDB is an abbreviation of the "Compact Disc Database".

It is a database, which contains information related to audio compact discs and can be tracked through applications or software on the internet.   • In 2014, the CDDB (Gracenote) was procured by Tribune Media Services (TMS) from Sony.
  • In December 2016, it was resold by Tribune Media Services (TMS) to Nielsen.

Working of CDDB

  • The purpose of the creation of CDDB was to identify the complete compact discs with all the present data and information inside it.
