NDA: National Defence Academy
NDA is an abbreviation of the National Defence Academy. It is the academy of joint defence services training of the Indian Armed Forces. The Army, the Navy and the Air force, all the three defence services of India get training jointly in National Defence Academy. After this fundamental, essential and compulsory training, the academy sends them to their relevant service academies for pre-commissioning training.
The National Defence Academy is to be found in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. NDA is the first tri-service academy in the world.

NDA has shaped a large number of officers who led and fought in every most significant war in which the Indian Armed Force called to action. It has formed and shaped 27 service chiefs to date comprising 3 Param Vir chakra and 9 Ashok Chakra recipients.
NDA Admission and Selection Process
The selection in the NDA via a written exam conducted by the UPSC, followed by wide-ranging interviews by the SSB which covers general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests.
NDA: National Democratic Alliance
NDA is also an abbreviation of the National Democratic Alliance. It is an alliance or coalition of political parties in India. In 1998, it was established. During the time of its creation, NDA was led by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and had 13 constituent parties. In 1998, this association of alliance came first in power till 2004. The first prime minister of this union was Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee who also later on awarded "Bharat Ratna"
