Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a hash collection. Then we will check a value exists in the created collection or not using the has_value?() method and print the appropriate message.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to check a value exists in the hash collection or not is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on Windows 10 Operating System successfully.

# Ruby program to check a value is exist
# in hash collection or not

student = {"101" => "Amit", "102" => "Arun", "103" => "Sumit"};

if student.has_value?("Arun") == true
    puts "The item 'Arun' exists.";
else
    puts "The item 'Arun' does not exist.";
end

Output:

The item 'Arun' exists.

Explanation:

In the above program, we created a hash collection to store student information. Then we checked an item is exists in the created collection or not using the has_value?() method. The has_value?() method returns a Boolean value. If an item exists then it returns true, otherwise, it will return false.
