This software is generally kept in reserve in Read-Only Memory (ROM) and you will discover its position on the motherboard. It is software, which is built-in. The BIOS contents are kept in reserve in flash memory in present-time latest computer systems. BIOS into the memory transfers the drivers of the hard disk and major parts of the operating system like MBR, FAT, GPT, etc., So without BIOS to allow the operating system to persistently loading by its own self is not feasible for an operating system.
