Here, we will learn about the IsUnc property of Uri class. This is an instance property of Uri class which used to check that specified Uri is a Universal Naming Convention path.

This property returns a boolean value. If specified Uri is UNC path then it returns true otherwise it returns false. This property may generate System.InvalidOperationException exception.

Program:

The source code to demonstrate the use of IsUnc property of Uri class is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

using System;

class UriExample
{
    //Entry point of Program
    static public void Main()
    {
        Uri domainUri;
        Uri domainUri1;

        domainUri = new Uri("http://www.includehelp.com:8082");
        domainUri1 = new Uri("file://MyServer/article.ext");

        if(domainUri.IsUnc)
            Console.WriteLine("Given Uri is a Universal Naming Convention path");
        else
            Console.WriteLine("Given Uri is not a Universal Naming Convention path");

        if (domainUri1.IsUnc)
            Console.WriteLine("Given Uri is a Universal Naming Convention path");
        else
            Console.WriteLine("Given Uri is not a Universal Naming Convention path");
    }
}

Output:

Given Uri is not a Universal Naming Convention
Given Uri is a Universal Naming Convention
Press any key to continue . . .

In the above program, we created an object of Uri class initialized with specified URI, and here we checked given Uri is a Universal Naming Convention path or not using IsUnc property of Uri class.
