In this program, we will get the current day of the year using the yday() method of Time class and print the result.

# of year out of 365

date_time = Time.new();
curretDateTime = date_time.inspect();

dayOfYear  = date_time.yday();

print "Current day of year(Out of 365) is: ",dayOfYear;

Output

Current day of year(Out of 365) is: 34

Explanation

In the above program, we created the object of Time class. Then we got the day of the year out of 365 using the yday() method and printed the result.
