In this program, we will get the current weekday in 3 characters using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

time = Time.new();
weekday = time.strftime("%a");

print "Weekday is: ",weekday;

Output:

Weekday is: Thu

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of Time class, and got the current weekday in 3 characters using the strftime() method with "%a" as an argument and printed the result.
