Problem Solution:

Here, we will convert a numeric string into an integer number using Int() function and print the result on the console screen.

The Int() function returns an optional integer, then we need to unwrap the integer number.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to convert a string into a number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to convert a string
// into a number

import Swift

var strCode:String = "108"

if let num = Int(strCode) {
    print("Number is: ",num)
}

Output:

Number is:  108

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

To use mathematics and some standard functions, we need to import the foundation package using the below statement,

import Foundation;

Here, we created a numeric string strCode with the initial value "108". Then we converted the string using Int() function and printed the result on the console screen.
