Here, we will remove a character from a string using the remove() function and print the updated string on the console screen.

The source code to remove a character from the string is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to remove a character from string

var str = "Hello-Herry"
var ch :Character = "-"

var index = str.index(str.startIndex, offsetBy: 5)

str.remove(at:index)

print(str)

Output:

HelloHerry

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

Here, we created a string str initialized with "Hello-Herry". Then we remove a character from the string at index 5 using the remove() function and printed the updated string on the console screen.
