BigInteger Class longValue() method

• longValue() method is available in java.math package.
• longValue() method is used to convert this BigInteger into a long and when this BigInteger value is large enough to fit in a long so lower order 64 bits are to be retrieved with the reverse sign.
• longValue() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
• longValue() method does not throw an exception at the time of representing long.

Syntax:

    public long longValue();

Parameter(s):

• None

Return value:

The return type of this method is long, it returns the conversion value of this BigInteger into a long.
