Duration Class getSeconds() method

  • getSeconds() method is available in java.time package.
  • getSeconds() method is used to return the number of seconds exists in this Duration.
  • getSeconds() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
  • getSeconds() method does not throw an exception at the time of getting seconds.

Syntax:

    public long getSeconds();

Parameter(s):

  • None

Return value:

The return type of this method is long, it returns the number of seconds in this Duration.
