Scala – Get Characters from StringBuilder String

Here, we will create a string using the StringBuilder class and then we will get the characters from the string using the charAt() method and print the result on the console screen.

Scala code to get characters from StringBuilder string

The source code to get characters from the StringBuilder string is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to get characters
// from StringBuilder string

object Sample {
  def main(args: Array[String]) {
    val str = new StringBuilder("This is india");
    var i: Int = 0;

    printf("String is: \n");

    while (i < str.length()) {
      printf("%c ", str.charAt(i));
      i = i + 1;
    }
    println();
  }
}

Output

String is:
T h i s   i s   i n d i a

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. And, we created an object Sample. Here, we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created an immutable string str using StringBuilder class, which is initialized with "This is india". Then we got the characters from the string using the charAt() method and printed the result on the console screen.
