Problem Solution:

Here, we will create a user-defined function that will not accept any argument and it will return the addition of two numbers to the calling function.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to create a function with no argument but the return value is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to create a function
// with no argument but a return value

import Swift

func AddNum()->Int {
    let num1:Int = 10
    let num2:Int = 20

    return num1+num2
}

var res:Int = 0

res = AddNum()
print("Addition is: ",res)

Output:

Addition is:  30

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

Here, we created a user-defined function AddNum(), it does accept any argument but it returns the addition of two numbers to the calling function. Then we called AddNum() function and assigned the result of the addition to the res variable and printed the result on the console screen.
