Problem Solution

Here, we will create two sets of integer elements using the Set collection. Then we will perform a union operation between created sets using the union() function.

Program/Source Code

The source code to perform union operation between two Set collections is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to perform union operation
// between two Set collections

import Swift

var FirstSet:Set<Int>  = [10, 20,30]
var SecondSet:Set<Int> = [40, 50,60]

print("First set : ",FirstSet)
print("Second set: ",SecondSet)
print("Union of set: ",FirstSet.union(SecondSet))

Output

First set :  [20, 30, 10]
Second set:  [40, 60, 50]
Union of set:  [30, 20, 60, 10, 40, 50]

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift

Here, we created two sets FirstSet, SecondSet that contains integer elements. Then we used the union() function to perform union operation and printed the result on the console screen.
