Problem Solution:

Here, we will create an array of integers with 5 elements. Then we will remove an item from an array based on an index using the remove() function.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to remove an item from an array based on the index is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to remove an item from
// an array based on an index

import Swift

var arr:[Int] = [10,20,30,40,50]

let removedItem = arr.remove(at: 2)

print("Array elements: ",arr)

print("Removed item: ",removedItem)

Output:

Array elements:  [10, 20, 40, 50]
Removed item:  30

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

Here, we created an integer array arr with 5 elements. Then we removed the item from the array at index 2 using the remove() function and printed the updated array on the console screen.
