To check whether the running Operating System is based on 64-Bit architecture or not using Environment class – we use Is64BitOperatingSystem property. This property returns a boolean value, if OS is 64-bit then it returns true, otherwise it returns false.

Syntax:

bool Environment.Is64BitOperatingSystem

Program:

The source code to check whether running Operating System is 64-bit OS or not using Environment class is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

using System;

class Sample
{
    //Entry point of Program
    static public void Main()
    {
        bool isBit64OS = false;

        isBit64OS = Environment.Is64BitOperatingSystem;

        if (isBit64OS == true)
            Console.WriteLine("OS is based 64-bit architecture");
        else
            Console.WriteLine("OS is not based 64-bit architecture");
    }
}

Output:

OS is not based 64-bit architecture
