Problem Solution:

Here, we will create an array of integers with 5 elements. Then we will sort an array in descending order using the sort() function.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to sort an integer array in descending order is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to sort an integer array
// in descending order

import Swift

var arr:[Int] = [12,10,25,20,50]

print("Original array: ",arr)

arr.sort()
arr.reverse()

print("Sorted array: ",arr)

Output:

Original array:  [12, 10, 25, 20, 50]
Sorted array:  [50, 25, 20, 12, 10]

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

Here, we created an integer array arr with 5 elements. Then we sort array elements in descending order using the sort() and reverse() functions. After that, we printed the updated array on the console screen.
