Ruby program to demonstrate the exponential operator (**)

Last Updated : December 15, 2025

Problem Solution

In this program, we will find the exponential using the "**" operator. Here right operand becomes the exponent of the left side operator.

Program/Source Code

The source code to demonstrate the exponential operator is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on UBUNTU 18.04 successfully.

# Ruby program to demonstrate
# the exponential operator

num1 = 2
num2 = 5

num3 = num1 ** num2
puts("Exponential: ",num3)

Output

Exponential:
32

Explanation

In the above program, we created two variables num1, num2 that are initialized with 2, 5 respectively. Then we calculated the exponential using the "**" operator and printed the result.
