Ruby Example: Write a program to find the arctangent of the given value.

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will read a value from the user using gets.chomp.to_f. Then we will find the arctangent of given value using Math.atan() function.

The source code to find the arctangent of the given value is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to find the arctangent 
# of the given value

print "Enter value: ";
value = gets.chomp.to_f;  

result = Math.atan(value);
print "Arctangent is: ",result;

Output:

Enter value: 0.5
Arc Tangent is: 0.4636476090008061

Explanation:

In the above program, we read a value from the user using gets.chomp.to_f and got the arctangent of given value using Math.atan() function and printed the result.
