Last Updated : December 15, 2025

Problem Solution

In this program, we will get the current date and time using inspect() method of Time class. Then we will print the result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code

The source code to get the current date-time using inspect() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get Current date time
# using inspect() method

date_time = Time.new();

currentDateTime = date_time.inspect();
puts "Current Date Time: " + currentDateTime ;

Output

Current Date Time: 2022-02-01 07:20:32 +0000

Explanation

In the above program, we created the object of the Time class and got the current date and time using inspect() method. Then we assigned the result to the currentDateTime variable and printed the result.
