Scala – Create a String (Using StringBuilder Class)

Here, we will create two strings using the StringBuilder class and then print both strings on the console screen.

Scala code to create a string using StringBuilder class

The source code to create a string using the StringBuilder class is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to create a string
// using StringBuilder class

object Sample {
  def main(args: Array[String]) {

    //Mutable string.
    var str1 = new StringBuilder("India");

    //Immutable string.
    val str2 = new StringBuilder("USA");

    println(str1);
    println(str2);
  }
}

Output

India
USA

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. And, we created an object Sample. Here, we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created two strings str1, str2 using StringBuilder class. Then we printed both strings on the console screen.
