Scala – Find Size of an Array

Here, we will create an array of 5 integer elements. And, we will get the size of the array using the size method and print the size of the array on the console screen.

Scala code to find the size of an array

The source code to get the size of an array is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to get the size of an array

object Sample {
    def main(args: Array[String]) {
        //Create an array with 5 integer elements
        var MyArr = Array(5,4,3,2,1)

        printf("Size of array is: %d\n",MyArr.size)
    }
}

Output

Size of array is: 5

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. We created an object Sample, and we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created an integer array MyArr with 5 elements. Then we got the size of array MyArr using the size() method and printed the result on the console screen.
