Problem Solution:

In this program, we will get the current day of the year out of 365 days using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

The source code to get the current day of the year using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get the current day of year 
# using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
CurrentDayOfYear = time.strftime("%j");

print "Current day of year is: ",CurrentDayOfYear;

Output:

Current day of year is: 036

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of the Time class. Then We got the current day of the year out of 365 using the strftime() method with "%j" as an argument and printed the result.
