Last Updated : September 19, 2021

Problem Statement

Here, we will print strings with different escape sequence characters on the screen,

  • \n : Newline character
  • \t : Tab space
  • \r : Carriage return
  • \" : Double quote
  • \' : Single quote
  • \\ : Backward slash

Program/Source Code

The source code to demonstrate the escape sequences is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Rust program to demonstrate
// the escape sequences

fn main() {
    println!("Hello\nWorld");
    println!("Hello\tWorld");
    println!("Hello\rWorld");
    println!("\"Hello World\"");
    println!("\'Hello World\'");
    println!("\\Hello World\\");
}

Output

Hello
World
Hello   World
World
"Hello World"
'Hello World'
\Hello World\

Explanation

In the main() function, we used println!() macro to print strings with escape sequences on the console screen.
