Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a Linked List using the LinkedList class and store different types of elements. Then add an element at the tail of the list using the offer() method of the LinkedList class.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to add an item to the tail of LinkedList is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Java program to add an item to the
// tail of LinkedList

import java.util.LinkedList;

public class Main {
  public static void main(String[] args) {
    LinkedList list = new LinkedList();

    list.add(1);
    list.add("TWO");
    list.add(3);
    list.add("FOUR");
    list.add(true);

    System.out.println("List Items: \n" + list);

    // Add an element at tail of LinkedList.
    list.offer('C');

    System.out.println("List Items: \n" + list);
  }
}

Output:

List Items:
[1, TWO, 3, FOUR, true]
List Items:
[1, TWO, 3, FOUR, true, C]

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported the "java.util.LinkedList" package to use the LinkedList collection class. Here, we created a class Main. The Main class contains a main() method. The main() method is the entry point for the program.

In the main() method, we created an object of the LinkedList collection class to store different types of elements. Then we added an element to the tail of the linked list using the offer() method of the LinkedList class and printed the updated list.
