Scala – Implementing the foreach loop

Here, we will iterate the list collection using the foreach loop and printed the values of the list collection on the console screen.

Scala code to implement the foreach loop

The source code to iterate the list collection using the foreach loop is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to implement the
// foreach loop

object Sample {
    def main(args: Array[String]): Unit = {
        var col = List(10,20,30,40,50)

        //Print each element
        col.foreach{
            print
        }
        println()

        col.foreach(print)
        println()

        col.foreach((item:Int)=>print(item))
        println()
    }
}

Output

1020304050
1020304050
1020304050

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. We created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created a list collection col. Then we iterate each item of the list collection in different ways using the foreach loop and printed the result on the console screen.
