Comparing a specified date comes after another date or not in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create two date objects and check date is come after another date using the After() function and print the appropriate message on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to check a specified date that comes after another date or not is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to compare a specified date comes after another date or not

// Golang program to check a specified date
// comes after another date

package main
import "fmt"
import "time"

func main() {
    var res bool=false

    date1 := time.Date(2022, 2, 5, 0, 0, 0, 0, time.UTC)
    date2 := time.Date(2021, 1, 14, 0, 0, 0, 0, time.UTC)

    res = date1.After(date2)

    if(res==true){
        fmt.Printf("date1 comes after date2")
    }else{
        fmt.Printf("date1 do not come after date2")
    }
}

Output:

date1 comes after date2

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created two date objects, and then we compare two dates using the After() function. The After() function returns Boolean value. Here, date1 will come after date2. Here we printed the appropriate message based on comparison on the console screen.
