Here, we are going to learn how to initialize the object of structure in a single line in Golang (Go Language)?

Initializing the object of structure in a single line in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a structure Student, here we will initialize structure objects and print information of students on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to initialize the object of the structure in a single line is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to initialize the object of structure in a single line

// Golang program to initialize the object of the
// structure in a single line.

package main

import "fmt"

// Declaration of structure
type Student struct {
	Id   int
	Name string
	Fees int
}

func main() {
	stu1 := Student{Id: 101, Name: "Kapil", Fees: 10000}
	stu2 := Student{Id: 102, Name: "Amit", Fees: 12000}
	stu3 := Student{Id: 103, Name: "Arun", Fees: 15000}

	fmt.Printf("Student Information:")

	fmt.Printf("\n\nStudent1:")
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Id     : %d", stu1.Id)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Name   : %s", stu1.Name)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Fees   : %d", stu1.Fees)

	fmt.Printf("\n\nStudent2:")
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Id     : %d", stu2.Id)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Name   : %s", stu2.Name)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Fees   : %d", stu2.Fees)

	fmt.Printf("\n\nStudent3:")
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Id     : %d", stu3.Id)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Name   : %s", stu3.Name)
	fmt.Printf("\n\tStudent Fees   : %d", stu3.Fees)
}

Output:

Student Information:

Student1:
        Student Id     : 101
        Student Name   : Kapil
        Student Fees   : 10000

Student2:
        Student Id     : 102
        Student Name   : Amit
        Student Fees   : 12000

Student3:
        Student Id     : 103
        Student Name   : Arun
        Student Fees   : 15000

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In this program, we created a structure Student, which is given below:

// Declaration of structure
type Student struct {
	Id int
	Name string
	Fees int
}

We can access the members of the structure object using "." Operator.

Here, we created the main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

stu1 := Student{Id: 101, Name: "Kapil", Fees: 10000}
stu2 := Student{Id: 102, Name: "Amit" , Fees: 12000}
stu3 := Student{Id: 103, Name: "Arun" , Fees: 15000}

In the above code, we initialized the student objects. After that, we printed the information of all students on the console screen.
