Creating different types of variables in Scala

In this program, we will create the variables of different types and print them on the console screen.

Scala code to create different types of variables

The source code to create different types of variables is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to create different types of variables.

object Sample{
    def main(args: Array[String]): Unit = {
        var var1:Boolean = true
        var var2:Int = 123
        var var3:Float = 3.14F
        var var4:String = "Hello"

        println ("Var1: "+var1)
        println ("Var2: "+var2)
        println ("Var3: "+var3)
        println ("Var4: "+var4)
    }
}

Output

Var1: true
Var2: 123
Var3: 3.14
Var4: Hello

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. Here, we created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created 4 variables var1, var2, var3, var4 that are initialized with true, 123, 3.14F, "Hello". After that, we printed the value of variables using println() function on the console screen.
