Scala – Print Hexadecimal Value

Here, we will create an integer variable and then print the hexadecimal value of the variable on the console screen.

Scala code to print the hexadecimal value

The source code to print the hexadecimal value of a number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to print the hexadecimal
// value of a number

object Sample{
    def main(args:Array[String]){
        var num:Int = 12

        printf("Decimal value : %d\n", num)
        printf("Hex value     : %X\n", num)
    }
}

Output

Decimal value : 12
Hex value     : C

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. Here, we created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created an integer variable num, initialized with 12. After that, we used the "%d", "%X" format specifier in printf() function to print decimal and hexadecimal value of the num variable on the console screen.
