Golang program to calculate the perimeter of the circle

Here, we are going to learn how to calculate the perimeter of the circle in Golang (Go Language)?

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will read a value for the radius to calculate the perimeter of the circle and then print the result on the console screen.

The source code to calculate the perimeter of the circle is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

    var radius float32=0
    var perimeter  float32=0
    
    fmt.Printf("Enter radius: ")
    fmt.Scanf("%f",&radius)
    
    perimeter = 2 * 3.14 * radius

    fmt.Printf("Perimeter of Circle: %f",perimeter)
}

Output:

Enter radius: 4.2
Perimeter of Circle: 26.375999

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we read the radius from the user and calculated the perimeter of the circle using the standard formula. After that printed the result on the console screen.
