Example of fmt.Sprintf() function in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create three integer variables and then create a string with given values using fmt.Sprintf() function and then print the created string on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to demonstrate the fmt.Sprintf() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

Golang code to demonstrate the example of fmt.Sprintf() function

// Golang program to demonstrate the
// fmt.Sprintf() function

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
	var dd int = 17
	var mm int = 04
	var yy int = 2021

	var str string

	str = fmt.Sprintf("%02d-%02d-%04d", dd, mm, yy)

	fmt.Println(str)
}

Output:

17-04-2021

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package then we can use a function related to the fmt

In the main() function, we created three integer variables dd, mm, yy that are initialized with 17, 04, 2021 respectively. Then we created a string with all variables using fmt.Sprintf() function. After that, we printed the created string on the console screen.
