Golang program to demonstrate the NOT (!) operator

Here, we are going to demonstrate the NOT (!) operator in Golang (Go Language). By Nidhi Last updated : March 28, 2023

NOT (!) Operator Example in Golang

In this program, we will read an integer number and use the NOT operator to invert the condition.

Golang code to demonstrate the example of NOT (!) operator

The source code to demonstrate the NOT (!) operator is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Golang program to demonstrate the
// NOT operator.

package main
import "fmt"

func main() {
    var num int=0

    fmt.Printf("Enter number: ")
    fmt.Scanf("%d",&num)

    if(!(num==5)){
        fmt.Println("Hello")
    }else{
        fmt.Println("Hiii")
    }
}

Output

Enter number: 7
Hello

Explanation

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

Here, we created the main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program. In the main() function, we created a variable num, which is initialized with 0. Then we read the value of the variable from the user.

if(!(num==5)){
    fmt.Println("Hello")
}else{
    fmt.Println("Hiii")
}

In the above code, if the condition will be evaluated TRUE if the value of variable num is not equal to 5 otherwise else part will be executed.
