Golang program to print the length of channels

Here, we are going to learn how to print the length of channels in Golang (Go Language)?

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create two bidirectional channels and send some values to the channels. Then find the length of channels using the len() function on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to print the length of channels is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Golang program to print the length
// of channels

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
	//Create a bidirection channel with capacity 2.
	msg1 := make(chan string, 2)
	msg1 <- "Hello"

	//Create a bidirection channel with capacity 3.
	msg2 := make(chan string, 3)
	msg2 <- "Hello"
	msg2 <- "Hiiii"

	fmt.Println("Length of msg1 is: ", len(msg1))
	fmt.Println("Length of msg2 is: ", len(msg2))
}

Output:

Length of msg1 is:  1
Length of msg2 is:  2

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package to formatting related functions.

In the main() function, we created two bidirectional channels, and then we send some values to the channels. After that, we got the length of channels msg1, msg2 using the len() function and print the length on the console screen.
