## Printing the minimum number of bits required to represent a number in Golang

Problem Solution:

Here, we will read an integer number and get the minimum number of bits required to represent the number, and print the result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to print the minimum number of bits required to represent a number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

## Golang code to print the minimum number of bits required to represent a number

```// Golang program to print the minimum number
// of bits required to represent a number
package main
import (
"fmt"
"math/bits"
)
func main() {
var num uint = 0
fmt.Printf("Enter number: ")
fmt.Scanf("%d", &num)
fmt.Printf("Binary number: %b\n", num)
fmt.Printf("Minimum number of bits to represent a number: %d\n", bits.Len(num))
}
```

Output:

```Enter number: 6
Binary number: 110
Minimum number of bits to represent a number: 3
```

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the required packages to predefined functions.

In the main() function, we created an integer variable num with initial value 0. Then we read the value of num from the user and get the minimum number of bits required to represent the number and printed the result on the console screen.
