Java program to set an element at the specified index in Vector collection

Given a Vector collection, we have to set an element at the specified index.

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a Vector collection with integer elements. Then we will set an element at the specified index in vector collection using the setElementAt() method.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to set an element at the specified index in Vector collection is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Java program to set an element at the
// specified index in Vector collection

import java.util.*;

public class Main {
  public static void main(String[] args) {
    Vector < Integer > vec = new Vector < Integer > ();

    vec.add(10);
    vec.add(20);
    vec.add(30);
    vec.add(20);
    vec.add(12);

    System.out.println("Vector elements: " + vec);

    vec.setElementAt(50, 2);

    System.out.println("Vector elements: " + vec);
  }
}

Output:

Vector elements: [10, 20, 30, 20, 12]
Vector elements: [10, 20, 50, 20, 12]

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported the "java.util.*" package to use the Vector class. Here, we created a public class Main.

The Main class contains a main() method. The main() method is the entry point for the program. And, created a Vector collection vec with integer elements. Then we used setElementAt() method to set  item at index 2 in Vector collection. After that, we printed the updated Vector collection.
