Golang program to create a slice from an integer array

Here, we are going to learn how to create a slice from an integer array in Golang (Go Language)?

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a slice from an integer array and print the created slice on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to create a slice from an integer array is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Golang program to create a slice
// from an integer array

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
	//Create an integer array
	arr := [10]int{10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100}

	//create slice of from index 2 till index 4(5-1).
	intSlice := arr[2:5]

	fmt.Println("Integer slice: ", intSlice)
}

Output:

Integer slice:  [30 40 50]

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created an array of integers with 10 elements. Then we created a slice from index 2 to 4. After that, we printed the created slice on the console screen.
