Trimming space from both ends of string using TrimSpace() function in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a string and then trim space from both sides of the string using strings.TrimSpace() function.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to trim space from both ends of the string using the TrimSpace() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to trim space from both ends of string using TrimSpace() function

// Golang program to trim string from both ends
// using TrimSpace() function

package main

import "fmt"
import "strings"

func main() {
	str := " Hello World "

	fmt.Printf("#%s#", strings.TrimSpace(str))
}

Output:

#Hello World#

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created a string variable str, which is initialized with " Hello World ". After that, we trimmed space from both sides of the string using strings.TrimSpace() function and print result on the console screen.
