strings.Join() function in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will join elements of string array by "_" character using strings.Join() function and print result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to demonstrate the strings.Join() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to demonstrate the example of strings.Join() function

// Golang program to demonstrate the
// strings.Join() function.

package main

import "fmt"
import "strings"

func main() {
	str := []string{"india", "is", "a", "great", "country"}
	var result string

	result = strings.Join(str, "_")
	fmt.Println("Result: ", result)
}

Output:

Result:  india_is_a_great_country

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created a string array str. Then we used strings.Join() function to join string array elements by a specified character '_'. After that, we printed the result on the console screen.
