Problem Solution:

In this program, we will convert the specified string into lowercase using strings.ToLower() function and print result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to convert the specified string in lowercase is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Golang program to convert specified string
// in lowercase.

package main

import "fmt"
import "strings"

func main() {
	var str string = "Hello World"
	var result string

	result = strings.ToLower(str)

	fmt.Println("String in lowercase : ", result)
}

Output:

String in lowercase : hello world

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created two string variables str and result. Then we converted the value of string str into lowercase and printed the result on the console screen.
