Trimming specified characters from the right side of string using TrimRight() function in Golang

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will create a string and then trim specified characters from the right side of the specified string using the TrimRight() function and print the result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to trim specified characters from the right side of the string using the TrimRight() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

Golang code to trim specified characters from the right side of string using TrimRight() function

// Golang program to trim specified characters from
// the right side of string using TrimRight() function

package main

import "fmt"
import "strings"

func main() {
	str := "!%Hello World!%"

	fmt.Printf("%s", strings.TrimRight(str, "!%"))
}

Output:

!%Hello World

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created a string variable str, which is initialized with "!%Hello World!%". After that, we trimmed "!" and "%" characters from the right side of the string using strings.TrimRight() function and print result on the console screen.
